Announcing the Comments Contest!
The Guns of Shadow Valley weekly comments contest starts this week! To enter the contest, all you need to do is leave a comment on the Guns website for one of this week’s new pages. Once your comment is approved, you are entered into the contest to win a free original mini sketch, made custom just for you, of any one character you choose.
These mini sketches will be like the ones done recently for the Monster Mini Sketch Sale last month: they are 4×6, ink and ink wash. If you win that week, you will be notified and asked what character you would like drawn for your very own mini sketch. The sketch will be lovingly created by series artist Dave Wachter and hand delivered to your address by a uniformed member of the United States Postal Service. There will be one winner per week. One word posts, spam, or comments lacking any insight or effort will not be considered. Only approved comments will enter you in the contest, so make them thoughtful/entertaining/funny, and of course, make the comments relative to that comic page or the story as a whole. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Here’s a selection of sketch cards as examples of what you can receive as a winner:

I see 2 Sylvester Stallones up there–one from Get Carter. If I’m right, then bravo on that. Success!! If I’m wrong … o.O

Great idea Dave! I loved the Grendel and Argent you did for me which now are frames and adorn my desk at work!

Just read this week’s page, and to be honest this it the first time I read it. If this is what I can expect from this on a weekly basis, then you good sir can count me in.

I really enjoy reading this comic due to the complex layers of beautiful artistry, realistic dialogue, and layered emotions throughout the characters. As someone who grew up in Oklahoma and appreciates its lively gun-slingin’ history, I mean it when I say thank you for creating a great atmosphere in which the characters can thrive in all their brave, flawed glory. The conversations and resulting tensions that arise between the prisoner and her two “escorts” in the carriage is priceless. I foresee an excellent showdown!

Thanks, Darah! As someone who was born in Oklahoma, I’m glad you enjoy it!

Are we going to see Guns of Shadow Valley on any of the iPone/iPod touch comic book readers anytime soon?

Ah man, that is quite the epic depiction of The Lord of Darkness.
