Filthy McMonkey: I definitely see your point. I think this is one of those times when the limitations of doing a long form story in a one-page-at-a-time webcomics format have become apparent. It’s a conundrum that’s constantly on my mind. When you have panels that lead into the next scene, it’s a hard thing for the reader to gauge when the next page isn’t available to view yet. I think it will be clear when the next page goes up on Tuesday. From a storytelling standpoint, I probably could have done better here as a standalone page. Live and learn! Thanks for the honest feedback!
I am MAD about what you are doing with the panels! You have inset “pan-in” panels, and the bottom sequence moves us forward in time, as well as moving spatially from right to left. I was really expecting the characters to come together on the railway…
Oh no- I started this webcomic way too soon! In an hour or so I read all the pages! Love the artwork, love the story concept! Please hurry with the next panels!! LOL 🙂

It’s all starting to come together.
love the first panel on the bottom, with the overlapping inset.

I agree with Simon, but then the next two panels don’t work as well for me. Both of them leave me feeling like I’m missing something.
Can’t wait to see how he ‘get’s their attention’ though…

I think it works to show a zoom in on the coach, which will lead nicely into the next page. But then again, I know what the next page is. 🙂

Dave, your art is just fantastic. I’m so loving the widescreen treatment and the colors are great. Keep it up you talented bastard!!

I likee the spinnee wheels. I did not anticipate the intersection of the two story lines. Terrrific.

In the panel with him sliding down the hill, are there two more horses further back following the stage?
