It’s a witch! Burn her! She turned me into a newt!
The fella with the bumpy nose is awful mean.
Can’t wait to find out what this lady can do.

OoooooOOOOOooh! Our tale takes a baudy turn! And at the beginning, it seemed such an innocent coach ride… *raises eyebrow*

The term “witch-fwap”, in common use in the late nineteenth century, evolved into the modern “bitchslap”. The More You Know…

The expression on the blond guy’s face in the eighth panel is PRICELESS! Also, it’s kind of how I would react to that situation, too.

This really is a fascinating story, my friend. Keep up the amazing work.

Thought bubble for panel 2: Yap, yap, yap. I’m stuck up here with this long winded yokel while the other two get to ride with the purdy lady. Dag nabbit.

I’ve lost count of the number of times Dave has made that exact same face while I’m talking.

That’s because you keep hitting on me. I told you, it’s not that I don’t swing that way, it’s just that I don’t find you attractive.

See, comments like that are why I don’t buy you flowers any more.

Jake is not the smartest person on that stage coach, or perhaps any stage coach, but it seems he will die happy. Or maybe he’ll just die. I doubt he’s going to live happy though.

I really enjoy reading this comic due to the complex layers of beautiful artistry, realistic dialogue, and layered emotions throughout the characters. As someone who grew up in Oklahoma and appreciates its lively gun-slingin’ history, I mean it when I say thank you for creating a great atmosphere in which the characters can thrive in all their brave, flawed glory. The conversations and resulting tensions that arise between the prisoner and her two “escorts†in the carriage is priceless. I foresee an excellent showdown!

Thanks, Darah! As someone who was born in Oklahoma, I’m glad you enjoy it!

Darah, thanks so much for the comments! I’ve never been to OK myself but really hope to visit, because after all the research I’ve done it looks like really beautiful county with a fascinating history.
