Chapter 2 Page 36
Congratulations to the winner of the 11th week of the Comments Contest: Andy Jewett! I’ll be contacting you about claiming your mini sketch.
The contest continues again this week! To enter, all you need to do is leave a comment about one of this week’s new pages. Once your comment is approved, you are entered into the contest to win a free original mini sketch, made custom just for you, of any one character you choose. Full contest details are here.
Due to severe weather conditions around these parts recently, I have not yet finished the card for last week’s winner, El Dave. As soon as I do I’ll post it.

Love the middle panel. Great choice of perspective; hoof-height gives you a great view of both the dirt kicking up and the scope of the sky – there’s a subtle curve to the panel.. This comic is going from strength to strength.

The panel of the horses in chase is awesome.

Agreed. That horse chase panel is gorgeous.

I really love the curvilinear perspective to the top major panel. Really well done! I love this series as a whole, but Dave’s art really sells it.

The cloud patterns in the sky are great, as well.

I’ve worked with Dave for many years, and every time he shows me a finished page I feel such an appreciation for how lucky I am to be able to collaborate with him. Sometimes I get so blown away by a page that I think, “Someday I’ll get to say I worked with Dave before he was super famous.” This is one of those pages.

Beautiful page! I really can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said, but I’m in awe, man. I don’t think I could draw a convincing horse from a “normal” angle, let alone that angle. And thank you for shading the undersides dark. No horse junk for me please.

The faces, the horses, the perspective, the backgrounds, the word bubbles, everything looks really really nice. Hello Marvel, are you paying attention? Real talent here. It wouldn’t bother me if you took some time off. I know there would be beautiful work coming along to look forward to. And you deserve it. Someone give me $100 million and let’s produce this thing. Stay healthy.

Great stuff as usual. Really look forward to the possibility of seeing this in print one day. I love your use of ink outside your outlines to imitate motion. Keep it up!

Your art is always great, but those clouds in the widescreen shor are spectacular!
