I just want to say I’m big fan of this site.
I love the whole steampunkish/deadlands feel to the series and can’t wait to see where this is going.
Is that small rock by any chance ghostrock 😛

Our smith definitely has a very nice steampunky feel. 🙂
I think he’s used a small chunk of the glowy-rock to fashion a glowy-rock detector which is now detecting the newly exposed glowy-rock from a few pages back. Is the glowy-rock called ghostrock? Nice name! I must have missed when that got mentioned…

HA! She lifted the Sheriff’s wallet? Nice. No booze better than free booze, I say.

“Ghostrock” the name of a glowing green rock imbued with special powers from a role-playing game called Deadlands.. There are some similarities between that game setting and the story our boys are telling here, but that’s as close as things get, I wager.

It’s amazing how free drinks will make someone a bit more social. 😉

Hey, it must have something to do with the screaming kid, right? Keep us guessing, eh? Great as usual!

I’m not familiar with Deadlands. Not a RBG guy. I’ll be sure not to name the thing Ghostrock!

His goggles must show something different when looking at the not-ghostrock. This would explain why he puts them on to stare at it. It doesn’t explain why he wears them all the time though.

Actually, Ghost Rock is more like white-flecked coal, so you’re good so far. Still a magic Macguffin material.

The scene of the town is placed well. It says ‘meanwhile’ without saying it.

Great page, Dave! I can’t wait to find out where you’re taking us with the glowing rock.

Miss Girly and creepy guy are gonna get it on. The green rock is getting cool. I still think it is kryptonite.
