Chapter 1 Page 01
Welcome to the beginning of The Guns of Shadow Valley!
This little webcomic has been a long time in the making. Some of you readers may remember us previewing the story as early as last year at Comic-Con International in San Diego. At that time we were still on the hunt for a publisher to pick up the project as a printed-on-paper type comic book. Although there was some interest and even some offers from publishers, none of those traditional publishing opportunities really fit the vision of what we wanted to do with the book. So we took a step back, spent some time writing and re-writing to fit the story into the format and pacing of a webcomic, and tried to make sure we were doing things right.
Since we’re gettin’ acquainted an’ all, let me share a little tip with ya… As you’re viewing a comic, you can click on the image to open up a larger version. This might help if you find the text to be a bit small for your reading pleasure, or if you just want to get a better look at the art detail.
As for the schedule… Starting tomorrow, three more pages go online this week — that makes five this week, if you count yesterday’s prologue — then our plan is to post new pages every Tuesday and Thursday starting next week. Please subscribe to our RSS feed, bookmark the site, and come on back to see us each week!
And if you’re going to Comic-Con International this week, please stop by the Dial R Studios booth #2306 and say hi! We’ll have new copies of the Convention Preview Edition book which contains exclusive material.
